Oh Disney World, I love you so. You house the most fantastic mother-daughter vacations EVER and that’s why we keep coming back every year – sometimes bi-yearly! – for more. Typically, my mother and I visit Orlando in January-February and/or August-September for our girls only trip(s). This year, because I am out of school and actually have flexible vacation days, we decided to hop on down to Orlando in the end of October to beat the crowds and indulge my love of Halloween 🙂 (more…)

Weekend Escapes: Atlantic City, NJ
I am all about having weekends worth bragging about. We all work so hard during the week, why not go all out come Friday night? Exactly. But playing hard usually comes with a price that can wring your wallet dry. So why not stay local and be a tourist in your own state?
A Love Letter to Disney World
Dearest Disney World,
You are my one true love and life without you would be so bland and boring. It has been many years since I’ve spent time with everything that you offer and I can’t help but feel my neglect has caused us to drift apart. I take full responsibility for my actions and assure you that I still love Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios as much as the day we first met. But let’s be honest, she’ll always be MGM Studios to me. Tis true, I seem to favor Magic Kingdom and Epcot, but I know deep in my soul that without the others, you wouldn’t be the complete world I adore.
I’m delighted to tell you that our separation won’t continue forever; I am coming to visit you this October! I have looked forward to this reunion for years and finally the time has arrived! I promise this visit will be complete! Not only will I visit the princesses at Magic Kingdom and walk around the world in Epcot’s countries, but I will become part of the movies at, ahem, MGM Studios and walk with the animals at Animal Kingdom! I cannot contain my excitement!
You have been on my mind daily and this only exacerbates my longing for you:
The 27th Annual Belmar Seafood Festival! [Updated]

See you there! Aloha!
Lancaster is for Foodies!
Hi everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I was lucky enough to take a walk on the beach with my mom in Point Pleasant. It’s hard to believe it’s been 6 months since Hurricane Sandy ravaged our shores, but there is a lot of great progress on our beaches and boardwalks to get ready for the fast approaching summer season.
